What is included in your hog roast package?

Our hog roast packages are designed to make catering for your event completely stress-free. Each package is different, but all Hog Roast packages will include a succulent whole hog, slow-roasted to perfection by one of our experienced chefs, our vegetarian/vegan alternatives along with freshly baked bread rolls, homemade apple sauce, sage & onion stuffing, and a full serving setup. We also supply disposable bamboo plates, cutlery and napkins.
If you’re looking for something extra, we can provide side dishes, salads, desserts, canapés. Our team will handle everything, from setting up and cooking to carving, serving, and clearing away, so you can relax and enjoy your day knowing your guests are well-fed.

 

How much space do you need to set up the hog roast?

Our hog roasting setup is quite compact and flexible. We typically need around a 3m x 3m space for the roasting machine, serving tables, and gazebo. We can work on grass, patios, driveways, or other hard surfaces, as long as there’s safe access for our team to unload the equipment.
If you’re unsure about space, don’t worry, we’ll happily discuss your venue layout in advance, and if needed, we can arrange a quick site visit or review photos to ensure everything fits comfortably.

Do you cater indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes, we can cater indoors or outdoors, depending on your venue’s facilities. While most hog roasts are outdoors due to space and ventilation, many venues allow indoor setups near open areas or under covered courtyards.
If an indoor setup isn’t possible, we can roast the hog outside and serve it indoors as part of a buffet, a great option during colder months or unpredictable weather. We’re very flexible and experienced at adapting to different event spaces.

What type of events do you cater for most often?

We cater for a huge range of events, no occasion is too big or small! Some of our most popular bookings include:

    Our hog roasts are incredibly versatile and they suit both formal occasions and relaxed outdoor get-togethers.

What if my guest numbers change before the event?

We understand that guest numbers can change, especially for weddings and large events. Just let us know as soon as possible if your numbers go up or down.
We can usually adjust the size of the hog or the number of sides to match your final guest list. Minor changes (within 10%) can usually be accommodated up to 10 days before the event. For significant changes, we’ll revise your quote accordingly to ensure you still get great value.

What happens to any leftover food?

We hate waste, and we’re happy to wrap up any leftover meat or sides for you to enjoy later. Many of our clients love taking home extra roast pork for sandwiches the next day!
We bring containers and can safely package leftovers for you or your venue to refrigerate. However, for food safety reasons, we can’t leave food out for extended periods after service. If you’d like us to handle leftovers in a specific way, just let us know before the event.

Can I customise the menu?

Of course! Every event is unique, so we’re happy to tailor your menu to suit your tastes and theme. You can choose from a variety of sides, salads, sauces, and desserts, or combine a hog roast with a BBQ or buffet-style meal. If you have something specific in mind, we’d love to help bring it to life.

 

Are your hogs locally sourced?

Yes, all our hogs are locally sourced from trusted farms and butchers. We believe in supporting local suppliers and using only high-quality, free-range pork.
Our close relationships with farmers mean we can ensure the animals are ethically raised and well cared for. This not only benefits the environment but also ensures our hog roasts are flavourful, tender, and responsibly sourced, something our customers really appreciate.
